Prior to his private practice, Dr Sein Lwin spent 20 years in public service. He is a Visiting Consultant in University Orthopaedics and Spine Centre, National University Hospital, Singapore and a Visiting Consultant Neurosurgeon in the National University Hospital and Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital, Singapore. He has worked on complex spine cases in National University Hospital for more than 10 years.
Dr Sein Lwin is the Neurosurgical Director at the Advanced Brain and Spine Surgical Centre and a Senior Consultant Neurosurgeon at Integrated Specialist Centre.

He is highly experienced in spine surgery and in minimally invasive approaches for spinal cord tumours and degenerative spine surgery. His specialised interests lie in endoscopic endonasal and open skull base surgery, pituitary tumours, vascular surgery, cranial nerve disorders and peripheral nerve conditions.
A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan utilises magnetic fields and radiofrequency waves to take detailed images of the soft tissues of the brain and spine.
A Computerised Tomography (CT) scan is a diagnostic imaging test that takes detailed images of cross-sections of the brain and spine, allowing your doctor to examine them layer-by-layer.
A CSF study is a series of tests that analyse chemicals in the cerebrospinal fluid — the fluid protecting the brain and spinal cord. This diagnostic test helps test for conditions affecting the brain and spinal cord.
